Study Skills Unit

September 14 - October 2, 2009

Objective 13.6
Interact with educational institutions including schools for children and schools or agencies with programs for adult learners.

Assessment: Oral and written, 3 Tasks
Task 1: Explain an Absence by Phone
Task 2: List Activities of Successful Learners
Task 3: Write a Letter Requesting Assistance


Use the Recap Sheet to assess your students' performance. Remember to submit ONLY ONE sample work for EACH TASK along with recap sheets for ALL students by October 16, 2009 to Toshio.

Important Note!! - Good news! Thanks to the stimulus money we received, we will get paid at workshop rate for EL Civics. It will be 2 hours per week for 3 weeks. Just put down "EL Civics" on your variable, and the time 3:30-5:30 Monday or Wednesday.

Resources are available in a binder in the teacher's room. You may also download the files to print or use on the SMART Board. Think before you print and save some paper!
