Teachers!

I apologize if this seems rushed…               It is!

We are trying to get things together for Adult Ed Week.

We learned about the Essay Contest Idea at the CCAE Bay Section Conference this past weekend.

We thought it would be great to do it now and present awards for winners during AE Week.

(Because Adult Education Matters!  Lol… )

We are going to invite press and local legislators.

And in general, it’s a great opp… we’ll post the winning essays online… it’s a good experience for the students… and maybe some of them will get published or can be read on radio.

What is “higher” and “lower” level, you ask?

I don’t know.

Can you discuss with your peers?  You know better than me.

Who will judge winners?  I don’t know.

How about

1 Admin, 1 Advisory Board member if they want to do it?, 1 Classified staff, and 1 Teacher

One more thing –Maybe essays should be numbered…  leave names off.

Just put

YOUR TEACHER NAME on the Essay with A NUMBER YOU ASSIGN.

Example:  Leiban3, Brown5, Peros8, etc.

That way… judges aren’t biased if they know the writers.

SO PLEASE ASSIGN EACH STUDENT NUMBER AND WRITE THAT DOWN SOMEWHERE.
